Market House carry-out makes dinner simple and delicious. Last night we had the Grecian chicken dinner. The aroma in the car made my mouth water. The chicken and potatoes were perfectly seasoned and the sauce was savory not oily. I can't wait for our next MH meal.

I am a frequent visitor to Lake Forest - and my elderly Dad and his caregivers all agree THIS is our favorite place for lunch. It's not easy to navigate a wheelchair or walker to get through the antique (and cozy) space, but the staff at Market House always go out of their way to make us feel welcomed ... and move heaven and earth (or at least tables and chairs!) to get us seated. And the Salmon salad? Some of the best ever!

Have not been to Market House in a while. Did not disappoint! Had the iceberg lettuce salad and lamb burger. Sooooo good. Excellent wait staff. Highly recommend.

I hadn't been here before COVID so I can speak to the indoor dining experience however the outdoor setup is a delight! The menus was nicely curated with enough variation to excite but not overwhelm. The service was attentive without making us feel rushed. Overall, I loved the experience dining in the heart of down town Lake Forest and will certainly return to the patio again and once the Covid situation improves I'd happily try the indoor dining as well. They also welcome dogs which is always a plus!

The fact that it was a beautiful late summer afternoon added to the ambiance of sitting on the sidewalk at this Lake Forest restaurant. While we were promptly seated, it took a few minutes to have our order taken. The menu was not extensive, but had a nice selection of luncheon salads and entrees. My Thai shrimp salad was the most expensive item on the menu; was served in a large bowl with the ingredients neatly separated (and a nice portion of shrimp). The salad was fresh and tasty.

The atmosphere was awesome out back on the patio--just so needed during this pandemic. The food and drinks were good. 4/5 due to good not great service (could also be contributing from Covid rules as well) and a bit pricey.
