Love this place... use to come here since I was in 5th grade many years ago, and now I'm bringing my kids also to eat here. We take a 40 min drive just to have lunch here once a month
As a Chicagoan, I know my hot dogs, and left bank is, in my opinion, the only acceptable choice for delicious and high quality hot dogs in the area. If you know lake forest, you know it’s a town that takes pride in its history and tradition, and no place exemplifies this history and tradition quite like left bank. This modest little hot dog place has been operating for over 60 years at the same location in market square! New owners in the past couple of years have also done...
If you’re looking for an authentic Chicago style hot dog, this is the best place you could possibly go. Their food is always amazing and the staff are extremely friendly. Once you’ve had The Left Bank, you’ll never be able to enjoy any other hot dogs the same way again… but it’s worth it.
