We have now been here twice while visiting my son and future daughter-in-law in Machesney Park. After the first time, my husband insisted that this become a ritual when we go to visit because this place was that good. The coffee is very good, which is unusual and a lot of restaurants, the staff is amazing, and we have thoroughly enjoyed every dish that we have eaten there, including my son and future daughter-in-law. Yes, the price may be a little higher than some restaurants, but the atmosphere and the food is totally worth it. We only have one suggestion, put in some sound proofing materials so that it’s not quite so noisy when the restaurant is full. We will definitely be back! ❤️

Relaxing music, food was great. Service was awesome, prompt fresh delish coffee. A nice perk was the heated syrup. The crepes were great in the California scramble. We'll be back for sure.

Our server, Erin, was phenomenal! Her bubbly personality and attention to detail made our experience one of the best.

I hate to leave reviews that are less than a rave, but our 1st time eating here was just average. The staff were very friendly & the inside is super clean, up to date decor & many comfortable booths. The food was just mediocre for us (breakfast egg dishes) & we were the only ones there an hour & half before closing, which seemed very strange. Hoping it is busier before noon, but it was oddly quiet, unlike every restaurant in the area, which are usually a busy vibe on a Sunday lunch/brunch, especially with no football on ha! Oh the omelets are HUGE, which is a plus for value.

What can I say - overall it was eggceptionally bad. We were the first and only people in the place for a while, which should have been a good indicator of what to expect. Waited quite a while for the server to ask what we wanted to drink, then waited quite a bit for coffee. No cream at the table, so we needed to wait a bit more before getting that. Food was okay. Lemon blueberry crepes had zero lemon flavor. Chorizo and cheese omelet did not taste right. Chorizo tasted like it had gone bad. Will not go back.

Let me start by saying I'm not one to typically leave a less than favorable review unless it's warranted. We decided to give this local place a try, and I totally regret it. I placed an order explaining to the waitress the modifications I wanted. After checking with the kitchen I was told there would be a $4 upcharge, in which I was fine with. I specifically asked for NO green peppers in my scramble, as well as the substituting the bacon and sausage for the turkey/chicken options. My husband's meal came out first, and I had to wait an additional 5 minutes. Upon receiving my meal I was beyond upset to see green peppers all throughout the scramble, it was missing mushrooms, onions, and my turkey bacon. I called the waitress over to discuss the issue and she apologized and proceeded to bring out the greasiest pieces of chewy turkey bacon I'd ever had!! After trying to pick the green peppers out I asked to speak with the manager. He proceeds to come over and explain that basically the scramble was what I ordered. I was appalled and explained to him the errors in my order. He then offered to remake it, and I decline and requested to have the scramble to be removed from my bill. He agreed, but had the audacity to only took off half of the scramble. Let's just say I will NEVER return!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Owner is completely rude. Food is not the best quality chefs do what they can but the owner does not supply good quality food. Also treats him employees extremely poor.

I have been coming here for a few years. But it's very hot and miss. Today was a huge miss and it will be my last time here. It took over 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge that I was there. Then the coffee was cold (old) so they microwaved it. Then they brought out the pancakes and said they would be right back with the syrup and they never came back.By the time I finally got the syrup, the pancakes were cold.

Tried a new breakfast place…won’t be back. Service was extremely slow. Took just over an hour for breakfast. Had to flag the staff down multiple times for coffee refills. Kids meals were $9 and didn’t even include a drink ($3 extra). Kids bacon and sausage came out cold. Pumpkin pancakes were gooey in the middle. Omelet was okay flavor wise but an odd consistency… like very crumbly. Receipt came and doesn’t have prices on the items. Very strange. Asked if that could be provided but was told no. The total seemed a few dollars more than it should have been but who knows. $70 after tip for two kids and two adults. Only water. One coffee. Kinda crazy.
