My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. Consume offers a diverse menu and taplist with options for both vegetarians and carnivores, featuring a variety of beer styles and local gems. The restaurant boasts an amazing selection of bottles, top-shelf whiskey, and specialty cocktails. The service is excellent, provided by a friendly staff. Many customers appreciate the laid-back vibe, generous portions, and reasonable prices, noting that it is easy to get to and has a good outdoor eating space. One reviewer praised the carnitas enchiladas with mole rojo as one of the best moles they have had, while others enjoyed the chicken Alfredo flatbread and Seasonal burger. Despite some inconsistency in food quality, with occasional experiences feeling like a typical sports bar, the atmosphere is a mix of gastropub and sports bar, highlighted by great service. The restaurant seems to have a conflict between a chef aiming for a high-end gastropub and a manager leaning towards generic sports bar food for drunk fans. Overall, Consume has the potential to be a unique dining spot with innovative ideas and is recommended for those seeking a great beer selection and good food.
