Great food & excellent service. Deep dish pizza really good. And the Italian Salad is fantastic. Wait staff better than most restaurants. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed; )

I've been dealing with a severe bout of food poisoning after eating here & I've never gotten food poisoning before. We ordered the super veggie deep dish, it took over 45+ minutes to come out. I took a slice & started to eat when our waitress came over and boxed the pizza completely unprompted. We were all confused & family I was with said, "um, she wanted to have another slice here." The whole demeanor & attitude of the waitress made us feel as though we were sitting there past closing hours, as it was roughly 8:06PM we figured maybe they closed at 8PM or something. So, in efforts to be polite, I hurriedly ate two slices of this pizza. It was very heavy pizza. I was struggling to get through the second slice. We left around 8:16PM & I checked their closing hours once outside and saw that they closed at 9PM, which made their attitude a bit odd in hindsight. After getting home, I proceeded to eat another slice, so in total I had three slices of this pizza. None of my other family members consumed it, we threw the rest in the trash that night as it wasn't anything amazing & ridiculously heavy.
My symptoms began the following day in the afternoon, after a light breakfast at home. I wasn't able to eat any sort of lunch as I didn't have an appetite and my stomach was so bloated that I kept having to unzip my pants to let it breathe. My whole body got hot by the evening & I had a high fever, I couldn't get out of bed. I didn't feel like eating anything at all for dinner but forced myself to have some rice & then threw everything up, threw up everything that I'd eaten in the past 24 hours. My fever persisted the entire night. The next morning around 6AM I threw up again until there was nothing left in my stomach. I tried to drink a smoothie around 11AM but ended up throwing that up as well after a few sips. I spent the entire day in bed, scared to eat lest I throw it up. Around 5PM I slowly spent two hours ingesting a banana. After nearly 48 hours of misery after consumption of this pizza I'm finally exiting the nausea stage & entering the diarrhea stage of food poisoning. My stomach is still ridiculously bloated, I keep having to go to the bathroom every few minutes.
I just wanted to come on here to document my experience so that others who choose to go here can be more careful & hopefully not have to go through the same thing. After reading some other reviews it seems like people have experienced undercooked dough, cheese, veggies, etc. on their deep dish pizza from here in the past. So I don't believe it's a stretch to assume something had gone awry in that manner for myself as well. I don't think I'll ever have deep dish again, this horrid experience has entirely ruined that for me.

Been to a few Giordanos locations but sadly this one disappointed. Came in on a Friday night, place was empty except for one other table. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, Calamari was great and came out fast. We had ordered a thin crust and a deep dish. After about 30mins she asked if we wanted the thin crust first, we said yes, but it didn't come out for another 15mins. 45 mins for a thin crust? Then the deep dish came out another 20mins later, so over an hour! Never had to wait that long before. But it looked great. So dug in, but sadly the dough on top was so raw it looked like thick melted cheese. I told the waitress who called over a guy, not sure if he was a manager. But he preceeded to tell me that I won't get sick and it is supposed to be that way. That he has been making pizza for 30yrs. I said to him it has never been like that at other Giordanos I have been too. I just dont feel it's appetizing. So he offered to put back in the oven. after another 20mins, just wanted to go, so asked them to just box it up. They wanted me to check it b4 leaving and it was still exactly the same! I don't know if something is wrong with their oven or the way they make it, but I took home a par baked pizza. The thin crust was really good and cooked right, just took forever. Sadly will not visit this location again.

We ordered on a Saturday at 5:30 and when I picked up an hour later, they were dead. There was one person eating, one person picking up. Pizza was nothing special, extra saucy, and bland. I live out of town and this is one of the first places I always go. It was just such a disappointment.

My husband and I are in town for one night and had to have some Giordano’s pizza! I have a gluten sensitivity so I was very happy to have the option of ordering gf crust, which was really good! Nothing beats normal dough, but their gf crust measures up well! We also wanted to take our leftover pizza with us and they were willing to put it in containers and wrap in plastic for us so we could take it home in a cooler. They were so nice to do this for us. Very friendly place and great service, as well as food!
Dietary restrictions: Their gluten free crust is awesome! I really miss normal pizza and being able to have some even with gf dough was amazing!

We placed an order for carryout, thin crust cheese and Pepperoni. Get the pizza home open it up and cannot see any Pepperoni. Call up the store, "hey sorry to say I think you got our order wrong." They check the order confirm it with me and come back with "no you got what you ordered." "Where's the Pepperoni then?" "Under the cheese." "Why would it be there on a thin crust?" "OH that's just the way all Giordanos make it, unless you specifically ask for it on top." "Well if that's the case could I get this order remade that way?" "But you already have your order." "Not the way we were expecting it. And we have had this order with you before and never had this problem." "But you already have your order."
Hang up, look up images on yelp and Google and the corporate instagram. There are thin crust pizzas with topping on top of the cheese...
Do not appreciate being one lied to, and two treated like an idiot. So yeah, any reviews on here saying the staff is rude is barely scratching the surface.
The people here are rude, we’ve walked in here multiple times to get dirty looks around 7:30 just for them to say we close at 8:30 when online it clearly says 9pm. We do the 3x baseball strike and we usually are done with a place.They obviously prefer that you do take out and not dine in. 4/28 is the last time I will come here. These people are extremely rude.

Who ever picked up the phone on April 16th @ 11:59am was a complete utter jerk. Just wanted to know if they were doing there 1/2 price dine in pizza for there "50" yr in business special. He didn't answer me but asked me 5 different questions and said maybe put a 1/2 order in. " WHAT" ? Than called the other place in Buffalo Grove and they hung the phone up on me 4 times. After the 5th call he said oh were busy thats why the phone was messed up.....LOL...Giordano's if your having a special make sure your staff can handle the simplest questions. I used to order in Chicago for 26 yrs over 200 pizza's but never ever again. Rosati's is my new place as they are nice and pizza kicks. What a disappointment and nothing to do with the pizza.
