“A group of 11 of us went there for Father's day. We absolutely loved it, the food was delicious. The
Black and Blue burgers a bit to strong with the blue cheese. It would be better with less blue cheese on it. Or mix the less blue cheese within the Hamburger. Blue cheese is very pungent and less is best to sell better 😋 customers will come back for more. Your French fries and fish are some of the best. Service to the group was excellent. You have a gem 💎 of a place in a perfect setting looking at the Shabbona lake. We definitely plan on returning to your restaurant and sharing our experience with our friends 🌞”

“I am posting this as a huge kudos to Lindsey and John, I think. Tonight was a food truck fundraiser for a local family and Subway thought it would be a quiet night. Well the food truck sold out in record time, which led the hungry masses to the local Subway.

These two were tag teaming online orders, in store orders, and running the gas station lines as well. This is tough on a normal day, but when every order had at minimum of 4 sandwiches that came in, these two taught a master class on patience, and team work. They ran out of bread, ran out of knives, and yet never ran out of patience no matter how many times the bell rang. You two are truly an asset to the Subway mega chain, and I hope they know that!

By the by- food was a four only because a ham sandwich with bacon was only prepared with bacon. But that, is a minute detail knowing how hard they work!”

“One of our local haunts for the past 15 years. Watched Super Bowl here. Excellent family and party atmosphere .wow what an intense game experience. Will watch next week's Daytona 500 here as well. Curt Cindy and their daughters and grandchildren really make it a family experience!!”

“My go to breakfast spot! The restaurant itself is a little rundown but clean and the food is good ol country comfort food!!! Only place I’ve been able to get my bacon cooked just perfect and every time! Service is quick! Owners are always friendly ! For a small town we are lucky to have a place like this!”

“PSA to paddlers: They do have a canoe/kayak launch, but it doesn't look like it's been used in years and consists of very steep, narrow, rotting steps that are dicey to maneuver. We did manage to get a canoe and four kayaks down to launch there but I wouldn't recommend it. Probably better to launch from the bridge at Highway 52 (although I have no personal experience there).”
