Staff are always friendly and on the ball here. We played #1 this time, and it is a nice course. A tad shorter and more open than #2, which is our usual go-to, but still a good challenge. The course was busy but moved along at a good pace.
I played the No. 4 Dubsdread while I was in town. The course is well designed with a strategic layout. Accuracy is more important than distance here. All greens are surrounded by bunkers with fast rolling speed. It definitely takes strategy to determine how to approach the green.

This is an all encompassing review from my experiences at Cog Hill from playing Courses 2,3 and 4. We played Course 3 on a fall weekend and while the course was in peak conditions, the pace of play was an unholy level of slow. Over 5 hours and 15 minutes was spent on the course and while the price point is good for 1 and 3 I can enjoy 4-4.5 hour rounds elsewhere.
