Best gastropub in the area. The ambiance is absolutely perfect in the Firkin. The lighting, decor and staff makes every visit memorable. They have a great selections of beer and cocktails they offer. Their calamari is delicious and they have a good selection of shareable plates. As for dinner, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I've never had a bad meal. We showed up a little early so waited a bit to be seated. The hallway where we waited was cold, though in fairness it was a cold night. Keep your coat on. Fish and chips were a bit oily. Oysters on the half shell weren't shucked very well. Sand, grit and shell bits in about half of the dozen we ordered. Oysters seemed fresh and of good size. It's a cute place. We'd go back. Might just have been a very busy night.

Great variety of beers, good cocktails, and upscale bar food. Our waitress suggested the pastrami sandwich and she was spot on. Really enjoyed it. Highly suggest this place but don't want to make it too busy that I can't get a table when I want. You won't be disappointed by the relaxed atmosphere and neighborhood feel.
