The food is very good here but the owner creates a negative vibe. She is not friendly and clearly does not enjoy her work. She has begun charging for tea, where other good Chinese restaurants, like Yan Yan, are happy to provide it, as well as extra rice, crispy noodles and almond cookies at no charge. There are no placemats, you have to ask for water, and she hands out a tiny to-go container without a bag to carry it in. Once, she did not hear the order correctly, but did not remove the unwanted item and then charged for it. Ambiance is part of the dining out experiece and Hunan Palace needs to get some.

Very over priced for the portions.Only one woman doing everything but the cooking. Dont be in a hurry plan to sit for a while. First thing, I don't use the sauces on the food. I eat the food they way it's prepared to get the true flavor of the food.Egg Roll had some flavor but not much.Human Chicken was very bland, with no spices and a very small portion of steamed rice.I might stop in again in a pinch if, in the area. But I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. I'm from Chicago, and I eat in Chinatown most of the time for my Asian food.

Hunan Palace is our go to for Chinese food- delicious!!! Our favorites - Pork Fried Rice, egg rolls, General TSO Chicken, Beef with Broccoli! Take out is always available within 20 minutes and always fresh. Always soooo delicious!!!
This is one of the top Chinese restaurants in the area. I'm guessing I've had lunch here roughly ten times. I've never left disappointed. Today, for lunch I had the Governors Chicken, with white rice and a cup of Egg Drop Soup. All for a very reasonable $10.95. Everything was hot and tasty. Service is always excellent. Today there was a party of eight that arrived at the same time I did - (Happy Birthday Larry). Even with the large party service was as good as ever. Keep up the good work!

We went in and we wanted to dine in person at the front was on the phone. We sat down and he came after he was off the phone and told us he would be closing. Rushing us to decide if we wanted to eat there and have only 15 minutes to eat or to take out. Rushing us and to make a decisions. Did not feel welcome.
