I just started a new job in the area and was looking to get a bite to eat nearby before my shift and tried Max's Dawg house. 5 years ago I was diagnosed with diverticulitis which means I can't really have buns with seeds anymore. The owner/manager was very nice when I entered. He was polite and answered my questions about if I could get a hamburger bun without seeds which I was. Tonight was my first time dining at Max's Dawg House on Milwaukee Ave in Libertyville. I'm thrilled to report that the double hotdog meal was excellent and the fresh-cut, home-made (REAL!) French Fries were perfectly done. Max's Dawg House is an iconic place in Libertyville. The people there are amazing and the food is even better. Fantastic spicy sausage, amazing charred cheese dog and one of the best gyros anywhere. Oh, and by the way, freshly cut fries. Love this place.
