Another delightful visit to a great restaurant. The service mistake with quesadillas is understandable - you can't see what's inside without poking open a cut edge, and the remedy would be to use and dispose of a non-environmentally-friendly frilly toothpick. So the one who ordered cauliflower got the ground beef. After one bite, she just had to switch plates with the friend sitting next to her. Another reason for the mix-up was that they were out of the kid sized tortillas so used a full-sized one. That's why she, and three others in the party of 5, had plenty to take home. The one in our group who was there for the first time greatly enjoyed her Italian dish. I had birria for the first time, the Mexican version of pot roast, and enjoyed it immensely. I had seen the ingredient on the menu before, and in a few magazine recipes, so was happy to finally put a taste to the name. Strongly recommend Ami-gos World to anyone who likes to eat out. The menu is varied enough to satisfy a mixture of tastes for any individual or group. Also, I believe they are beginning some method of delivery, so watch for that ability to enjoy their wonderful food at home or work.

Ate dinner at Ami-gos with 3 friends, no one had complaints, and 2 went home with substantial leftovers. Great variety on the menu, from street tacos to burgers, salads, and Italian. Plenty of vegetarian options. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it took a while between ordering and serving, but the decor is interesting enough to entertain while you wait. Believe me, the food is worth waiting for!

Food was cold and way too salty. Items missing from order and not compensated for. I would never eat here again!

A great experience from the moment we walked in! Everyone was friendly, cheerful, and accommodating to dietary needs. I got the two taco meal and chose birria for both tacos, and street corn for my side. All of it was delicious! I’m looking forward to my next visit, and I frequently recommend Amigos to friends and family!

I finally tried Amigo's World for the first time, and it did NOT disappoint. Each time I try a "Mexican" style restaurant for the first time, my go-to order to guage how good they really are is always the carne asada tacos. I cannot do corn tortillas so have to do flour, but otherwise order them authentic style with cilantro, onion, lime, and I always add plenty of salsa verde too. I can tell you without a doubt that Amigo's has the BEST tacos in Lincoln, and are right up there with some of the best tacos I've ever had from establishments in other larger cities. The carne asada was good and flavorful, the tortillas were light-years better than any of the other tortillas served at the other Mexican establishments in town, and their salsa verde was also the best I've ever had in comparison to the other establishments in town as well. I also ordered several other things to try/share and they were all amazing as well- the birria grilled cheese, birria roll ups, street corn, and coffee tres leches cake. All were amazing- though to be fair I will add that in general, I'm not a huge fan of street corn for some reason- BUT of all the other places I have tried it from, I have liked Amigo's the best as well. Not only is the food good here, but also the people. Their story is amazing and they are a fantastic and MUCH needed addition to our small-town community. They really bring some creative, tasty dishes to the table that are not offered anywhere else in Lincoln. I also did not think their prices were bad at all.Just wanted to finally add to my review to those who may see this- I saw a couple really negative reviews from other people- and those other people are very clearly either loyal supporters or affiliates of the other Mexican establishments in town. Don't let their reviews deter you from giving Amigo's a try and deciding for yourself. Highly recommend them!!!

Went to Amigos for the first time tonight after my nephews basketball game. Walked in staff was immediately friendly even after I told her I had a BIG order, she replied no problem that's what we're here for. I got multiple different items on the menu for my family. Burritos, tacos, nachos, rice bowl chips and salsa. The price point was not bad at all because most meals came with 2 good portioned sides. We got the beans and Amis corn. Both were delicious. The steak was tender and birria was delicious, everything was fresh as well as the homemade salsa which was the Keypoint for me as I love salsa. Overall I was really impressed by the friendliness the price point and the quality of food. I will definitely be going back multiple times. Thanks Ami-Gos

IMHO, the best Mexican I've had in Lincoln. I had steak tacos, which were tasty, and the salsa Verde was perfect with the cilantro and onions.

The portions were small and the wait was slow when we came here for the first time and they ran out of stuff fast (opening day)

First off when you walk in it straight up smells like a fart. Definitely wasn’t a good aroma coming into but I ignored hoping it was better than just the smell. Queso was nasty it literally tasted like canned cheese that was cooked in a dirty pan, I got the taco meal but I wanted one steak and one birria taco and instead I got charged for two steak taco meal and an additional birria taco then I got charged again another 2.50 for a side when it stated it came with a side so that was ridiculous. Everything was very bland and mainly tasted like cilantro, the tortilla shells tasted like I was eating cardboard, they were very stale which was upsetting. For the price you’re paying I figured they’d at least have better quality but I was wrong. My food was lukewarm and I waited an hour for it, my fries were cold and soggy the only good thing about my meal was my drink. My kids grilled cheese wasn't even melted they were pretty much eating a cheese and bread cold sandwich. I won’t be coming back to try again it isn’t worth it, next time I’ll spend my money at El Maz atleast I’ll know it’ll be good food.

We got the chips and queso and the queso tasted like it was cooked in a dirty pan, it wasn’t good whatsoever. I ordered a birria quesadilla with street corn and it was lacking seasonings but was also over powered by a lot of cilantro and onions. My street corn was made completely differently than the person I was with who also ordered it and theirs came with cilantro and a lime on top while mine didn’t it was just corn with the cheese. I tried the person I was with birria sauce and it was horrible, it was cold and tasted like a cinnamon stick. I also didn’t understand the pricing of it all, I got the quesadilla meal and it came with a side and the waiter told me to pick a side on the second page so I did but was charged an additional 2.50 for the side? When it stated that it came with a side so I didn’t understand that but whatever. Overall the food wasn’t hot it was lukewarm at best which was very depressing, I was hoping to have a better experience but I don’t think I’m coming back to try again. It just wasn’t the best quality or service and very overpriced for low quality food. If I want authentic Mexican food for $60 bucks I’ll go to El Maz at least my food won’t take an hour and it’ll be hot.
