The hostess process needs to be improved. We had a reservation and waited an hour ... they marked us as “seated” when we weren't. Then kept skipping over parties if 2-3 to seat larger groups. It was chaos and they were not showing any empathy for the customers waiting.

It was an extremely busy night, and the food took a little bit longer than usual but our waiter was fabulous. He was very attentive and helped us choose some great dishes. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Best sushi around.!!

Simply EXCELLENT! The food, the creativity of how the food is being served, the service and ambiance make this place my preferred venue for Sushi/ Japanese food. I will be definitely back!

This place is truly a gem! t looks ordinary from the outside, but once inside, it is an elegant, beautifully decorated and cozy restaurant. The menu is quite extensive. My lady and I tried several items on the menu and were thrilled with both the presentation and the quality of the food. Our server, Reese, was so exceptional, it was hard to believe that she was still a senior in high school ! Absolutely impecable service and attention to our requests. (This, we believe, bodes well about excellent management and quality training.) We were visited by the BarMaster who recommended an extraordinary specialty cocktail, The PearTree. We were also visited by the restaurant manager who was exceptionally friendly and an amazing host. If you are a fan of sushi, a foodie and a culinarian, you will be absolutely blown away with the creations of the master chefs that call this place home. My lady and I eat at many nicer restaurants, and Starfish Sushi has now become one our favorite "go-to" locations. Definitely put this one on your list for an exceptional night of magnificent cuisine. And, BTW, this is a very reasonably priced restaurant.

As usual, Starfish Sushi was absolutely excellent! Sara, our server, was perfect. She was very attentive and anticipated our every need. We were greeted with a tasty amuse-bouche and then had some wine and saki. After that we ordered some edamame along with what they call the “Shooter Flight“ (You must try this. It's simply incredible). Finally, we had a number of different Signature Maki rolls, which were all out of this world. We have been to Starfish Sushi a few times I before and we will definitely be back.

We went for my birthday with another couple....it was delicious, innovative, fresh, and aesthetically beautiful. We ordered a variety of long rolls and a few appetizers. The soft shell crab appetizer so incredible. I really didn't want to share. One of the rolls we ate was the shitake mushroom/chive. The flavors were so distinct. We loved it. The crispy rice spicy tuna maki - yum yum!! Our server was so nice. We will definitely go back to StarFish.

Starfish is amazing. We go there all the time and are never disappointed. This time we wanted to do vegetarian sushi and our waitress was so helpful explaining the different options. Everyone got what they wanted and had a wonderful evening!

This is one of our ‘go to' sushi restaurants, so we are here multiple times a year. Today, the sushi chef out did himself. He was extremely informative and made great choices. After today, it will likely be ‘the go to,' as long as the quality and variety of the nilgiri remains at this level.
The sushi was so fresh and flavorful and beautifully presented. The cocktails were excellent. The service was top notch and the restaurant gave us several complimentary appetizers. Everyone at our table was completely happy and impressed.
Our party of 5 went here for dinner after a show at the Marriott Lincolnshire. The food was fantastic and the presentation was outstanding! We had no issues with the food. The service started off poor. We had a 7:00 reservation and were seated a few minutes early, but the server didn't take our drink orders until 7:15. We didn't receive anything until 7:28. Once management was aware that we weren't happy with the service, they were very attentive. Our food was served quickly. Then our empty dishes sat for a long time. We had to ask someone to clear our table. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable about the fish, but the service can be improved.

Great service and delicious food, very fair prices. However, the noise level is very loud and hard to hear each other. We will try a booth next time or a table more towards the back of the restaurant--definitely worth visiting again.

This is absolutely authentic Japanese Sushi and Sashimi! The food was incredible! We ordered the premium fish boat and it was outstanding. The chef came to the table and explained the different kinds of fish and we had authentic wasabi. My bourbon drink with ginger was amazing. We all enjoyed this experience immensely! I highly recommend it.

We normally never have a bad experience at starfish. However, last night was an exception. Generally, the sushi was as good as normal, however, my wife ordered, salmon nigiri, and the salmon was very tough. Also, whenever we go in there to have dinner, which is probably two times per month, we are offered a chefs appetizer free of charge. However, last night, all the other tables were offered that appetizer except for ours. Finally, it was extremely loud in the restaurant last night. There was a table of kids directly behind us, who were playing loud video games and music while a table of men in their early 60s were extremely loud and boisterous. It was very hard to hear any conversation that my party was having.
