Nice place, good atmosphere. Nice gentleman working there. Edamame, ok average. Order Nigiris: Hamachi, Toro and Madian. 1 Maki: Octopus Roll. It's been a long time since I actually had to spit my food out. Every piece of food i spit out. Bad texture, taste and temperature. The octopus roll stuffing was pre-made in a Tupperware container...all melding together and oversaturated. Many folks only know what they know about sushi. I've eaten hi end and low end and I handicap for sushi inland, 2000 miles from catch. I've eaten my own catch from the Florida Keys and elsewhere, so I know how to rate sushi. A 4 star rating in Chicago would be equivalent to a 5 star in Isle mirada or Miami. I paid, tipped and left. Will not return. I went home and ate Oreos, the most unhealthy food on the planet. I live in the same town too.

I went in just as they opened and had the whole place to myself. The inside is very inviting and the sushi and sashimi was very fresh. The chef and server were very accommodating. Definetely going back tomorrow while I am in town.

Yea they called this place Good Sushi but I'd consider it Great sushi. Well done!! I was impressed and that can sometimes be difficult to do especially in regards to sashimi sushi as well as having the proper rice to accompany it. Yet another excellent place to dine when craving for some sushi.
Had Omakase dinner here, very nice experience with Chef Jino - very nice and pleasant guy. Food was fresh and very tasty as they were imported from Japan.

Last year I booked an omakase for 2 on my birthday more than 2 weeks in advance but then when I got there they said the chefs were on vacation and couldn’t offer the omakase experience even with reservation. I think they updated the system on how omakase is done since then cause I see now there’s a prepay option so it’s probably all good now but I’m still very salty about it to this day unfortunately.

The sushi in this place is so fresh and delicious, I would highly recommend it. The nigiri are huge, so are the rolls and they are awesome. Waiters are friendly and attentive. Great place for a dinner.
This is a hidden gem. Sushi is soo good that we had to go back. It was entertaining to see the chef hand roll all the sushi. Also everyone is so kind and service is great!
