Dairy Star is a summer highlight every year! it's an all-outdoors soft-serve ice cream stand with fairly reasonable prices, generous servings, and lots of topping options! you choose between chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, or C/V swirl, and then you can add dips or toppings! outdoor seating on benches, usually jam-packed but it's so worth it and the line is efficient!Vegetarian options: it's ice cream so all vegetarian, but for vegans: there is non-dairy soft serve if you askDietary restrictions: has kosher and non-dairy options!Parking: maybe 10 spots in their lot, some street parking nearby, but if you go when it's busy it can be hard to find a spotKid-friendliness: popular place for kids and families, it's outdoors and kids are allowed to be noisy and messy to some extent! perfect family place. does not have a bathroom though!Wheelchair accessibility: technically it's all one paved outdoor service, however the paving is cracked and warped in several places, so it's not ideal
Local go-to ice cream joint on Devon Avenue for decades. A great old fashioned hangout for children. Soft serve ice cream can be had with variety dipping options. Also have wide array of sundaes. They finally began accepting credit cards but costs more than using cash. It is a perfect place to visit on a hot summer night.

I really like this place. I really like all the options they offer. So many toppings, cone dips, the combos are endless. My personal go to is strawberry ice cream on a cone with fruity pebble topping. Their sundaes are also delicious. Now be aware in the peak of summer you can definitely expect to stand in line for a bit. Oh but is it worth it! It just goes to show that this place has tons of dedicated customers who keep coming back for more!

We love the soft serve and the sundaes. Even the small size is plenty. The kids working there are kind and efficient.

We moved in the area bout 30 yrs ago & have been coming to eat ice cream here every since . The only thing we don't like is that there closed in the winter there only open in the summertime but well worth it portions are always the same everything tastes great service is always fast & correct & friendly.

A little pricier when compared to other places, but the ice cream is delicious -- and they don't skimp on the toppings/mix-ins.

I am addicted to the chocolate milk shakes. On A hot day or when your body is approaching a state of being "bone dry" this is a well deserved heavenly break. If you have a sweet tooth, it's worth spoiling yourself 2-3 times a week.

Yummy yummy giant dipped cone in a thin layer of chocolate. There was a long line but they went thru quickly. Everyone had something delicious. Along with other dipped cones one person had a fresh banana shake. It was delicious too! We ate outside because it was still nice out. Unfortunately the weather is coming to an end but the cones were terrific

Good old fashioned soft serve ice cream... Not the greatest idea on the hottest day of the year...lol wound up wearing almost as much as we ate... But it takes you back to better years when you didn't have so much responsibility...
