Loved it and good customer service

Love this place. The food is always made fresh, and the service is always great. I have been for lunch and dinner - had great experiences every time. I have also catered from Sarges and everyone loves their food - the chicken nuggets are SO good!

I wanted to try this place since a popular (beef and hot dog) Restaurant in Gurnee Mills has been disappointing.I stopped in Sarge's after reading a review on Nextdoor and ordered an Italian Beef, Meatball Sub, Chicago Dog, Fries, and a Deli Pickle to go.Overall value price paid for the beef sandwich... Size to price was good..The au jous made the beef sandwich taste weird. I will not buy it again.Overall price for meatball sub, good value. Meatballs were tender but could have used more seasoning. The Red sauce tasted like it came out of a can. ??‍♂️ Cheese was plentiful on this.The Chicago Dog was just ok. Nothing special, it was an ok value for price. I'll try the Hot dog again on Thursday when they are on special for 1.25..The Fries were plentiful but AWFUL... They smelled up the car as soon as I got in .Fries tasted and looked like they were warmed up in month old fryer grease.. ketchup from home did NOT help the taste. Please change the oil!The Deli pickle out of the jar in the counter.... OMG... One bite and I had to throw it away...Gross..What can I say? I know what I like, I know what food should taste like and this missed the mark.

Stopped in last week for a beef and some tator tots. Everyone there was super friendly and my good was made hot and ready. One of the best beefs I've had in a long time. Would recommend coming here for their beefs.Great job Sarges!

I didn't get tzatziki sauce on my gyro. Onion rings were overcooked. Beef sandwich was dry. Won't go back.

Great locally owned family business! I've tried the hot dogs, italian beef and gyros. All were really good. The fries are hand cut and are fantastic. I like mine well-done and they don't have any issue with making them as requested. I always try to support local and hope you do the same. Great food, great family!

The owners and entire staff are very friendly. We recently placed a catering order for our son’s confirmation and it was a wonderful experience. Thye walked me through placing the order and made suggestions for what to order and the right quantity. They contacted me a few days before our event to confirm and even reached out afterward to see how everything turned out. The food was amazing. We received a lot of compliments on the food and made sure they knew about Sarges. Thanks again for always providing exceptional service and food!

I want to say thank you to all your team members that helped on the catering order. I had ordered the full pan mostaccioli and the half pan of salad - it was such a hit at the party I had on Saturday and was so worth it!! It tasted amazing and the price was very reasonable. Thank you so so much. 11/10 for even the way everything was packaged to go! We will definitely be ordering more catering in the future.

I contacted Sarge’s to inquire on catering options for my son’s 1st birthday party. My wife had some ideas in mind that weren’t on their catering menu and Sarge’s was able to accommodate everything we asked for. Communication was quick and efficient, pricing was exceptionally reasonable, and most importantly the food was delicious and crowd-pleasing. We had pulled pork, baked potatoes (with all the toppings), corn on the cob, mac and cheese, and more. Surprisingly, their cornbread was probably the best we ever had! Packaging and pickup was also about as good as it could get. I wish we would have gotten better pictures before we dug in! Thanks again!
