Was in the Springfield, IL area for work events—on my drive back to St. Louis, I stopped by as I’d heard great things about this historic establishment. Came right before closing so got homemade desserts to-go. The lemon blueberry layered cake & the chocolate cream pie were absolutely delightful! There were at least 9 other desserts to choose from so I’ll definitely return to try more as well as savory entrees. The staff were super friendly and accommodating :)

Great stop on Route 66. Very friendly service, food was true home style cooking. Compliments!
I was conflicted between two choices and asked our waitress for a recommendation. She was spot on and the food was delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Prices were very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food served. If I lived in the area,this would be a regular stop.

Our waitress was outstanding, friendly, nice and attentive. The food was awesome had prime rib special, hubby had pork chop special. Both were delicious. We had been traveling close to 4 hours and wanted something nicer than fast food. We lucked up and found this place. Would recommend.
