Remember a few months ago when I posted a glowing review of the re-opened Browns Lockport IL.
Well, I take it all back.
Tonight was the last straw. After waiting 35 minutes for food that was promised in 20 minutes, the woman behind the counter (when she wasn’t arguing with her son) apparently forgot another customer’s order of fries so she decided I could wait another 10 minutes while they dropped another order.
At that point, I was annoyed but gave them the benefit of the doubt. But when I got home, I discovered the breadsticks were burnt, the biscuit was rock hard, and the two wings were actually a wing and a leg, and the livers were not completely cooked.
The previous 3 times, the food was average but the service was also terrible averaging 30+ minutes.
When I bragged about the “new” management, the manager was very attentive and customer-focused.
But now that they opened another location in Joliet, Lockport has become an afterthought.
I will never return and rescind any nice things I ever said about them.

Greasy-spoon. I got take-out. Ordered liver and a chicken sandwich. The liver was near spoiled taste-threw it out. Chicken sandwich was subpar, couldn't finish it. The physical location is not well kept, greasy floors and dirty...should have been my first clue! Owner was there and said this location wasn't doing so well. I can see why. I will not be going back.

I found Brown's Chicken in Lockport online and, to be honest, I was a bit hesitant after seeing some mixed reviews. However, I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad I did! The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was absolutely delicious — I particularly loved the flavor and quality. It exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be coming back. If you're considering trying it, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

One of the worst Brown's Chicken I want to. Went online. Looked at what coupons were available. Was told only what was on the board + the chicken was not good. Oil's old and way too much breading to make it look like you're getting more? Definitely will not be that back to that one

This is the Best Brown's Chicken I'vebeen to. The food is always fresh, they never have messed up my order and are always kind ans polite. The chicken tenders are massive! It's always a great meal when I order from this location! Thanks Brown's!
The chicken is hot and fresh . And the owner is so kind , his store is clean . If you haven’t had Browns in awhile you should check them out you won’t be disappointed!! 💕
