This restaurant was possible one of the best Mexican we have experienced. We travel a lot being from NW Indiana and bowling around the country pretty much. After many disappointments I can say that this was NOT a disappointment. We really enjoyed the service that we had received. Everyone was friendly with navigating the menu and everything in between. For being a mom and pop place is was exceeding expectations

This is a hidden gem in Lockport for Mexican food. I don’t know how this place isn’t busy all the time. The restaurant is always spotless. The staff is always super nice. The food is just amazing. The steak is actual cuts of steak and not braised beef. Free salsa with fresh made chips. The verde and rojo are so flavorful. The biggest takeaway is their prices are very fair and lower than the chains. Try this place out and you will not be disappointed.
The food is amazing. They put so much steak in their tacos and the quality of steak is top notch. The staff is always so friendly and thanks us for coming in every time. We eat here at least twice per month and it never disappoints. The tortilla chips are fantastic and so is the salsa. We love it here and we’ve tried them all in Lockport
The food is absolutely the best Mexican food in Lockport. The quality of steak is fantastic and they include a plethora of steak on their tacos.Their chips are excellent as well as their salsa. My kids love the rice too!! We’ve tried them all in Lockport and nothing compares to La Michoacana. The service is very friendly! I met the owner last time I was In there and he shook my hand asked me my name and thanked me for coming. Can’t beat it!
We received catering from them for Christmas dinner. They had everything put together and explained the reheating instructions. Food was wonderful and family enjoyed it. Big thanks!

The steak tacos were not very flavorful and had gritty meat...not a single customer around at 6m,so that should have let me know to leave..waste if $10..and 10 bucks is too much for 2 tacos.
