Service is good; too much garlic on everything! Have been there several times trying different dishes.

Service is amazing- food is a little bland at times but nothing of a deal breaker! The staff is also just super sweet.

Great food, good service, terrific value, would have been 5 stars if they put their wine list onling.

Very good authentic Italian food. Service is always top-notch. I usually go for lasagna or any sort of pasta dishes. My wife is gluten-free and they have plenty of options that she likes. Good wine selection also.

Mamma onestas is the local Italian restaurant in Lockport. The food is okay and so is the ambiance. It does its job for being a local Italian restaurant for baby showers/events and larger holiday parties with out-of-town guests, but as someone who lives in Lockport and enjoys cooking, I tend to not go to Mama Onestas because of the price and the fact that I can cook the same quality dishes at home. As for service, the staff has always been attentive and capable of answering questions and making recommendations. A solid 3 out of 5.

We've been to many Italian restaurants in the Chicago area and find this to be one of the best. From the service, ambience and food - it's exceptional. If you know good cuisine and appreciate fine dining, this place won't disappoint. It's really a hidden gem in the south suburbs.

When out with a group of friends to this restaurant. I ordered Lobster Ravioli $29.95 and it was so salty and the ravioli was under cooked (to my taste) that I could not eat it. There were 5 raviolis (which I was told when I ordered it) but I could only eat 2 if I kept scrapping the very salty sauces off of it. I couldn't force myself to eat any more. One of the other people in our party said her pasta was also very salty. Another said his sauce on his fish was very salty but if he only ate the fish it was OK. I know people will say, "Why didn't you send it back?", and all I can say is I have heard horror stories about doing that. Also, it told the waitress about this and she apologized and would tell the chef, but offered nothing else. Also, be aware that they add 3.5% to your bill if you pay with a credit card.

Went there on a regular Sunday afternoon, no reservation. Tracy was our server. She was professional & asked if we have any questions about menu. She offered to bring more bread which we accepted. I ordered Veal Florentina & chicken Alfredo. We waited a bit for it but was worth it. Food arrived hot. My veal was quite salty but I don’t use salt in my kitchen at all so I am sure my taste buds are sensitive. Other pasta was rich in flavor. Try this local place. It has character!

We went on a whim but called to make reservations on our way. We were sat right away. The waitress was pleasant. I ordered a glass of the house red wine ( chianti ). It was okay. I ordered chicken Arturo, chicken breast sautéed with pancetta, spinach, and mozzarella in a very thin white sauce over spaghetti noodles. Good portion, but the sauce was extremely thin. I ordered a side salad, which was fine. Hubby got ravioli with a side of Italian sausage, which were both delicious. We were to full for dessert, but the list was ample.

I've heard the good reviews about Momma Onesta's for years. Why did it take me so long to come?? 1) make reservations 2) free valet parking was available on the Friday nite we went 3) great service 4) decent wine/cocktail list 5) the food! I had the penne with portobello mushrooms and sausage and it was delizioso! Sampled a cannoli for dessert. This is top notch and local! Noise level was a bit loud though.

Oh my! A quaint, cozy restaurant with the feel of being in a friend's home. This was the first time, and won't be the last visit. Unfortunately I only got a picture of the adult beverage because when the food arrived we immediately dig in to our plates of DELICIOUS FOOD! Let me back up and say we were greeted at the door with warm smiles. I recommend placing reservations as the dining room is not large however spacious enough. Soon after being seated our waitress was right at the table to take our beverage order. She as well was very pleasant and attentive (not overwhelming however we did not have to flag or wave to get her attention).Now... the food was DELICIOUS and plentiful! Oh my goodness I could only eat half my meal. And oh... the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!!
