This was my first time trying State Street Restaurant and I was really impressed with the taste of the food. I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was really good, which now I'm going to be craving them haha. My family all enjoyed eating here today and the staff are literally the most kind people! I love that it's family owned because you know it's going to be authentic and genuine. There's so many things Im going to go back and try. Thank you guys!

The food is ALWAYS fresh and flavorful! They have Greek fries which is always a delicious snack! Be sure to support this restaurant, the owners are the nicest people and always serve with a smile. Never had a bad item here!

Casual sit down mom and pop restaurant with some of the best customer service I’ve ever had! I had the small cream of mushroom soup (which was the size of most restaurants’ “large”) and garlic butter fries (medium was enough for an appetizer for 4 people). Yummmm! My friends had a burger and pizza which the gentleman behind the counter customized to their preferences, even asking if they’d rather have the pizza cut in triangles or squares. Everyone was so friendly and seemed to really care that we had a good experience. So bottom line: good food with many choices (even some Polish dishes), plentiful servings, amazing customer service! Looking forward to going back when I’m in the area!

When I lived in Lockport, this was my go to Spot. Everything is always good. I don’t think they have a bad item on their menu.

Really bad food poisoning with fever! I ordered Double Bacon Burger. Sick all day.
The place has a lots of cleaning to do and unreasonably expansive.

PS:
Not just the owner at that filthy place feels sorry, he had a nerve to reply to me in an aggressive manner.
I have to add - I do not know why this place has unreasonably high rating - I’m sure the reviews are ragged. Old webs and dust are everywhere, even hanging from the ceiling - watch out!
The water is NOT filtered - so he uses tap water. Read again unfiltered tap water.
The mention about free meal - it took me two days to recover from the poisoning. It’s not free meal - it’s free garbage.

Have been there many times. Love everything we get. Soups are homemade and always hits the spot. Owners are very friendly and always take care of you. Feels like you're visiting a relative for a meal instead of going to a restaurant.

My family and I have eaten at State Street Restaurant a few times now, tonight I just picked up a pizza. Because of the previous visits, they get 4 stars. The pizza tonight was not my favorite. I ordered half cheese, half sausage, onion, & green pepper. What I got home with was 30% cheese, not half. Overall, if I critique it against the likes of Roseagelo's in Evergreen Park, it doesn't hold a candle, sorry.
