Have been there many times. Love everything we get. Soups are homemade and always hits the spot. Owners are very friendly and always take care of you. Feels like you're visiting a relative for a meal instead of going to a restaurant.
My family and I have eaten at State Street Restaurant a few times now, tonight I just picked up a pizza. Because of the previous visits, they get 4 stars. The pizza tonight was not my favorite. I ordered half cheese, half sausage, onion, & green pepper. What I got home with was 30% cheese, not half. Overall, if I critique it against the likes of Roseagelo's in Evergreen Park, it doesn't hold a candle, sorry.
Delicious food served by incredibly kind people. The wife and I were looking to try some place new and this place popped up on Google. We each had our own pizzas. Crust definitely made from scratch and the toppings were all fresh and amazing. Absolutely loved the fresh made cream of mushroom. Best pizza in the area Joliet included. I will argue with anybody. We will be back again and again.
