We had a great experience with our server Tammy. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice outside. We will be back. It’s the same owners who own Egg House. They are doing great things in Lombard. Keep it up. 👏
Came for lunch with a friend and 3 young kids and 2 strollers and was easily accommodated. Food was 10/10. I had the chicken melt with sweet potato fries. Big sandwich but didn’t over serve me on fries, which I like. Didn’t mind spending a little extra $$ for great quality. Great service by Mary and love the atmosphere. Will be back soon!

Grove Tavern is a cozy and comfortable restaurant on the crowded strip in downtown Lombard, offering a mix of a bar feel and a more upscale ambiance. The space features cushioned leather seating, dimmed lighting, and window walls that open to a patio with outdoor electric fire warmers, creating a spacious and airy feel in the summertime. The menu has variety and every piece is quality, with specific highlights including an incredible meatloaf, a delicious steak salad, quite good salmon, and the best grilled chicken melt sandwich. The French fries are good and the tiramisu is awesome. Service is consistently noted as top notch, with friendly, attentive, and kind staff and genuinely interested owners who check on guests. The food comes out fast for a sit-down restaurant. Some minor notes mention a desire for the room to be warmer or for background music or TV sound to avoid silence. The owners are amazing people with their hearts in it for the families in the area, making it a family oriented restaurant. Prices are reasonable for the great quality food. It is a must-visit place that fires on all cylinders, and many reviewers state they will be returning customers.
