Johnny the owner has high expectations for his guests dining experience and visited our table to make sure everything was to our liking. We assured him that it was. Really good food and drinks. The staff was great and even the people at the next table were so nice! The insisted on sharing with us when I asked them what they had ordered because it smelled so good. I had the lobster tail which was a great deal! And it was excellent. They had a mod gimlet and I wanted a traditional one and they made it very well!! We have been before and I’d go back.

We went to Rebel for the first time to celebrate our daughter's birthday and it was great. Lots of street parking. We sat outside and the atmosphere was very nice. Service was awesome. Sat down and they brought water right away and the server was quick to get to us. Drinks were very good and the food was Delicious. They brought dessert on the house to celebrate her bday. We will be going back again.

Stopped by for the first time for lunch. Beautiful day for sitting at their outdoor patio. It’s a nice place for sure. The drinks and tuna appetizer we had were pretty good. The burger we ordered was honestly just okay. There are a lot of places nearby that serve up amazing hamburgers so if this is something of interest to the owner I would suggest not using frozen patties.

Very nice place. The crab stuffed shrimp special was excellent. Clean welcoming place music is good and volume was appropriate. Outside covered seating. Plenty of street parking. Great mix of specialty drinks like Peach Cobbler Old Fashion. Friendly staff. Ashley the bar tender walked me through how the old fashion is made and I had to try it. I’m glad I did, excellent without changing the main focus and flavor of an old Fashion! You won’t be disappointed.

We booked Rebel for my husband’s 40th and it was perfection. The atmosphere was intimate but comfortable to accommodate our group of about 35. Johnny was super easy to work with from a planning perspective and was receptive to our party needs. The food was great- your expected staples for a cocktail party but definitely elevated- and all of our guests commented on how much good it was. Above all else, I was so impressed with the staff. They were essentially co-hosts, always making sure guests had a drink in hand and anticipating our serving needs before we even realized we had a one. In current times, it seems rare to experience excellent hospitality from staff who seem to genuinely enjoy what they do- Rebel and their team was the exception. Lombard is lucky to have this unassuming gem and we look forward to trying the owner’s new steak house restaurant in Glen Ellyn that is slated to open in Summer/Fall 2025. Thank you for a memorable 40th!

Right when we finished our food we were told not even asked that if we can leave because there are other reservations. People go to restaurants to have a good time, sit and talk with friends/family. If I just wanted to eat and leave I would’ve went to McDonald’s with drive thru. If you can’t let people sit for 20-30 minutes after they are done eating just because you have a reservation then get a bigger space.

This is our second time at Rebel. I enjoyed the ambiance, the fixtures, seating, tables and decorations are elegant and clean. We were greeted at the door by several people and seated at a nice table. Our server was good and checked in on us, but so did another person too, resulting in quick service, cleanup and attention. The location is nice, downtown area with plenty to do after or even before. We had the cacio de pepe, fried calamari, lobster roll. The food was solid and I had no complaints, I enjoy fries that are not soggy and limp so those were some of my favorites. The lobster roll was good, would be awesome if there was a hot and buttered option. We would come back and recommend anyone visit at least once.

Found out about Rebel on social media and YouTube. It's a really nice place in downtown Lombard. The service was great, everyone is really nice and welcoming. My wife and I happened to be shopping at Yorktown and decided to visit Rebel. We ordered the Blackened shrimp + Polenta. The shrimp was grilled nicely & seasoned really good. The Polenta was off the hook. It was extremely good. I wasn't a fan of Polenta, but wow, I was impressed and almost ordered another same dish - but we wanted to also try the Carne Asada Fries which were soo darn good 👍.
Although we didn't have a huge appetite, these appetizers made us hungry and filled us up. The drinks were mixed really well, not watered down, and I got to also enjoy an Octoberfest cold beer 🍺 . This place is well worth your time and money. We will be back real soon 😊 shout out to the kitchen and bartenders ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
