We had a wonderful waiter today named Luke. Friendly service and was very nice. The apple Swiss cheeseburger was wonderful . The staff is super friendly and we will definitely be going back .
We had a fantastic lunch at the Village Tavern! It is Illinois oldest continuously operating restaurant. The food was great and the atmosphere was even better. We got onion rings and fried shrimp! If you’re in the area, make sure you stop by.
Yikes. Lots to work on. The day we stopped in, the air conditioning was not working. Who enjoys sweating and eating at the same time? The town's anchor could be serving better looking food. It's one thing to be the oldest bar in Illinois, but to look tired and old, too? Not a great combination.
