Great little restaurant/diner. Great food. Can get breakfast or lunch at the same time. Good service. Co-owner even remembered us from a year ago. Nice change of pace from fast food while traveling. Give it a try when traveling on I74.
Gave food 2 stars because the salad was crisp and fresh. We ordered sampler plate, chicken fried steak and hamburger steak. It was all frozen food not fresh prepared. I asked lady if the chicken fried steak was hand battered before I ordered, she assured me it was. Mashed potatoes were good but I like instant mashed potatoes so that was a plus. Total bill was just over $54. Our waitress was extremely nice. She is not the one who said CFS was hand battered. Hopefully dogs enjoy...
The folks that run this restaurant are the kindest, most generous people you will ever meet. We always feel very welcomed and the food is very good so we keep coming back. They clearly work very hard and love doing so!
