Food was delicious!
We were only in town for one night and we chose well..We went to an early dinner .. Dylan was our waitress and was super helpful on helping us decide our final choice. It was wonderful Mediterranean pasta and Italian beef pizza. Both were superb. Service was excellent …

Ordered online, waited for 15 minutes to be offered any service. Alfredo sauce was split, garlic bread was soggy, tomato sauce was unpleasantly acidic and overly watery, there was flavor to anything. The food is not good at all, you'll do yourself a favor making pasta from scratch at home.

Owner is a terrible person, said vile things to us when we simply asked her to explain pricing for her catering services. Was drastically overcharging for catering and we ended up going with 17th street who were nearly half the price for double the amount of people. Will never be going back here again.

I had read some mixed reviews before visiting, so my expectations weren’t too high. Honestly, I walked out impressed, and I’d go back just for the salad alone. I ordered the Greek Salad with the House Garlic dressing, and it might be the best salad I’ve ever had. The dressing was perfectly balanced: not overly salty, not sweet, just fresh garlic and olive oil with a light touch of salt. Paired with crisp, flavorful ingredients, the salad tasted incredibly fresh and was absolutely worth every penny.
The restaurant was busy, but our waitress did a great job tending to us. I also tried the Baked Manicotti, which was good, though not necessarily a stand-out compared to others I’ve had. The ingredients were solid, the sauce was thick and hearty, and the noodles with ricotta were delicious. It just didn’t leave the same impression the salad did for me. That said, I would still order the Manicotti again because it was enjoyable nonetheless. Personally, I'd maybe add a little dimension to the sauce and tone down the salt. It wasn't by any means overly salty or anything like that, just the sauce felt like it overwhelmed the ricotta and noodles. Overall, great great experience and definitely a gem in 62959

Great gluten free options and the food was delicious! My family stopped by for dinner while on a roadtrip and we’ll definitely be back our next time we drive through. Our waitress was the best and ensured all of our food was cooked safely to avoid cross-contamination. All of the staff went out of their way to make contact with us and make us feel welcome.

The place was excessively slow. There were only people at four other tables In the entire restaurant while we were there We ordered drinks then waited an uncomfortable amount of time for them. She dropped off the drinks and left. We waited another 12-15 minutes before ordering. We considered leaving but everyone was hungry. When we did order, 2 of the small salads were floating in dressing and not able to be eaten. That should have been our first sign of what was to come. The food had an odd after taste and the 2 orders of chicken were completely dry and hard. The waitress offered to take them off our bill. We said no we’re hungry and would like to order something else. To get the new food took over 15 minutes. (It was sandwiches) All in all it was a complete disaster. We were there for over two hours. Bennie’s used to be a favorite but I’m sorry to say it will be a very long time before we return.

Being new to town we loved the atmosphere, but this isn’t really Italian food. It’s stuff from a freezer, a bag, and a can heated in a microwave. Not an Italian in site. I am all about supporting local business, but Bennie’s needs a visit from Gordon Ramsey. Has potential if they bake their own bread and make their own meatballs in the morning. It’s not hard. I hope they read these reviews and care because we want to support them.

Horrible customer service!! My daughter and I dined in here 7/28/25. We ordered a side salad, appetizer order of cheese breaks and a pasta to split. Our side salad comes out with pasta. No bread? We were told it takes a few extra minutes. No biggie. After waiting 25 minutes, it arrives after our pasta is cold. The waitress tells us she can take it off for our trouble. She says she will bring us a to go box for it. The manager walks out and says since we “decided to take it” we have to pay for it. Thank you for ruining my dinner and the environment here at Bennie’s. Managers name is Jennifer for future reference!! I do not recommend. We also came in while it was slow so being busy wasn’t an excuse. It also took 25 minutes for a check and to go box. Pathetic!

Have had 4 orders as a dasher and they've been unable to complete any of them in time to take them waist of time
Very good food. Price is comparable to other places but for a family of 4 can add up quickly.

Web page looked good. When we walked in, I like the atmosphere. The staff was also very pleasant. Unfortunately though, their food just isn’t good. I’m a foodie so we ordered multiple things to try.
The Italian roast (recommended )beef I only took 2 bites from. It was just bland, shredded beef with cheese. Not the favored, thin sliced, medium rare. The aus jus wasn’t bad. No Giardinera. Just a couple whole peppercini’s thrown on plate.
Bread sticks weren’t bad. Marinara was sweet. Not my style. Alfredo sauce wasn’t bad. They didn’t have cheese dip.
Fries were over cooked. Not going by looks, they’re season fries. Tasted horrible.
My last hope was the pizza. I admit I’m a pizza snob. I prefer wood fired. This pizza was like eating on a stale cracker crust. I ate 1 piece. Horrible.
I took home a salad for my wife. Added grilled chicken. She didn’t eat more than a couple bites. Said chicken was gross (probably frozen). The vinaigrette was yucky. Tossed it.
We threw food away because nobody else would eat it. Munched on something else. Not sure how they stay open, other than it’s a small town. Not a lot of options.
Menu I think is also too vast. Instead of focusing, a perfecting a limited amount of items, it’s all over the place. Italian, yet has tamales. An then stir fry???
Bill was $100. Tip $20.
