“While attending the Grand American in Sparta friends suggested dining here. Food was great and we made two trips for lunch. I had the bluegill one day and a blooming onion burger the next. Also scrounged a piece of cherry pie for later. A friend of ours from Asheboro NC tipped us off about this place and we hope to return to dine in 2027. The pickles we ate one day were possibly home made or locally sourced and I neglected to ask the waitress. The cafe sits ride beside the railroad tracks and a freight train rumbled by while we were dining. I did not hear one complaint from any of my friends and some were miserable when they left because they are so much...“
