If you’re ever in Mattoon, Illinois, make sure to stop by the Honey Bee Cafe on Logan Street for their incredible Breaded Pork Tenderloin sandwich. This was our first time dining in at Honey Bee Cafe. The food was incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming and our server was named Dot, and she was the sweetest server and she had the best customer service! When we return to the restaurant, we want Dot as our server! One of the best restaurants we have been to and one of the best servers!
Came here with a group of 10 hailing from across GA, IL, and CT on a weekday with minimal notice. Incredible service from the whole waitstaff, and choosing what to order was difficult due to the extensiveness of the menu. After much deliberation I went with the Mattoon’s Favorite (fried pork tenderloin, sausage gravy, and eggs) with cheese and grilled onion hash browns and a biscuit—as an Illinoisan by birth raised in Georgia, it felt right, and it truly was a comforting delight....
