Not a fan of the kiosk ordering! I will not be back. How are people supposed to earn a living when more & more jobs are eliminated?!

This is our 1/2 way mark when we travel on a common trip. We have options but enjoy the place. Good food, good prices, everything is fresh made, nice thin, crisy fries, the best shakes and very good people always ready to help with a smile. If you're looking for a reliable, clean place for good burgers, etc, you cannot go wrong.

My son and I stopped by late at night after a long drive, and we had a great experience. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and the food hit the spot. Everyone was personable and made us feel welcome — even bringing our food out to us. A perfect end to a long day!

Watch the price of your orders if you order in the drive thru or over the phone... We always½ order via the mobile app, the exact same thing every time. Their hours recently changed, now they close 2.5 hours earlier. So when we tried to order in the app late night(third shift workers), we haven't been able to due to their store hours changing. I've noticed the prices are significantly higher ordering through the actual restaurant vs. app. Last few times, I wasn't given a receipt. This is a recent issue, prior to the last couple of months, we always got our receipts without having to ask. Many times they suggested the survey and we DID do those for them, eating all areas highly. SNS also tracks rewards points by scanning receipt bar codes, not receiving them obviously compromises the process, and the customer's ability to build/use a rewards balance. This time, i waited for my change. Yet again, no receipt. Right away, i asked for one. They had to reprint it because they threw it out before even returning my change. Once i left, i got back into the app and put in THE EXACT SAME ORDER WE ALWAYS GET, SAME AS THE ONE WE GOT TONIGHT....
I was charged $27.15 with tax in person. In the app, the price was $21.98 with tax. Looking at the receipt, it appears that they're ringing up EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM SEPARATELY instead of combos. On my receipt from this evening it even has looks like they DID originally make one order a combo, then voided it out and rang everything separately.... WTH? Where's the integrity, Snake n Shake???

I will have to say that
Steak and Shake is my go-to for burgers and fries. It's not the same as before but that is a subject for another day. Yesterday, my experience at the drive thru was absolutely spectacular. Paige made my day. Having grown up on S n S since I was very young. So much so I worked for the company for several years. What made my experience spectacular was something very special, at least to me it was. Paige took the time to make my experience special by doing just one thing. She repeated my order!!! Not just once but twice. Doing this ensures you receive what you want with complete satisfaction. Paige was friendly and accommodating. In recent years, customer service has not always been the best at s n s. The experience I received yesterday gives me new hope for an old favorite. Thank you, Paige, and the person who trained her. Some of the satisfaction was due to the training Paige received. The other part is her personality. Hats off to you, Paige. We'll done and thank you. Keep up the great job that you are doing!!!!!!!

I thought Steak 'n Shake wasn't supposed to be a workaraunt. We had to order on a screen, we had to scan a paper to get drinks and then they called us up to pick up our meals!

Maybe she was the manager? But woman in the front is super rude to her workers and acted like every thing was an inconvenience. No wonder nobody was smiling. After waiting 30 minutes for our order it arrived with hair as a garnish!.. good thing we got a free cup of nacho cheese for the inconvenience.. Weird to ask for a tip on self service kiosks before even getting food. Will not be returning.
