First time coming to Texas roadhouse and after an hour and 15 min wait to get food and even when we got our food items was forgotten like my dads sweet potato then they came back said they were out so will be last time I come here

Steak was very over cooked forgot to put mushrooms on it side kick of shrimp was only 3 small shrimp and was cold. And they brought out my salad after my meal. They replaced the steak with one that was cooked correct but was really too late to salvage my meal. I had them make the salad to go. When I got home opened the salad it was pitiful….. a small amount of lettuce and very small amount of white cheese. And a few croutons. And a small thing of dressing that wasn’t ranch. Come on Mattoon we go to Texas Roadhouse in Champaign several times a year. And never had a bad meal. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a Texas Roadhouse. I have given Mattoon 3 chances 2 of them were bad. I’m going back to Champaign next time.

I hope they work out the kinks of a new restaurant. Party of 6. Had to send back 3 of the meals due to being wrong and/or cold. My wife didn’t even get to eat her meal because everyone else was done eating by the time hers was re made. Waitress checked on us once in 30 min. Waited an hour for our (wrong/cold) food just to be sent back. I ordered country fried sirloin which came out cold. When the food runner brought it out there was no gravy on it…asked for a bottle of ketchup got 2 squirts out of it and bottle was empty. Manager(s) came over to us and checked in and we expressed our dis may with our experience they were understanding and listened to our concerns . Not the typical Texas Roadhouse experience we all know of.

I waited a hour and ten minutes on a table. After that I was told someone said it would be another half hour. I was with my kids and granddaughter, and the person seating people didn’t even bother telling me it would be longer even though she looked straight at me several times in the hour I waited. Other people were seated before us as well. This place needs to train employees a little better if they expect return customers.

This is our third visit here since they opened , and it’s the 3rd time our steaks were not cooked to our liking. At all. They could not make a rare steak at all. The staff are always the best, great personality and customer service , but for us to have to send a steak back 3 x in one setting and still not make it right says a lot about who is cooking the food and who’s making sure it’s cooked correctly and to the right temp.

My husband and I went to our new Texas Roadhouse in Mattoon Illinois for the first time.. The service was great the food was great..Both our streaks were cooked perfectly...Had a perfect experience..❤️
Love the new Texas Roadhouse in Mattoon Illinois. Great food,service. My go to are the chicken entries. I definitely recommend it to travelerand locals alike. Just a few blocks from Emerald Acres sports facilities . 😋

Excited to try the new restaurant in town. First time eating the tater skins and twisted mozzarella, got them as part of the combo appetizer. Tasted great, especially enjoyed dipping the tater skins in ranch. For my entree I picked the usual, chicken critters with mashed potatoes. Also had Caesar salad which was fine. Seemed like it took a little longer than expected to get the food but I guess it was a little busy plus they're still trying to figure it out. Overall, I'm really glad to have another steakhouse here in Mattoon.

Absolutely best prime rib i have ever had!!! Wow it was soo tender if I could give it ten stars I would. Went when it was exrremely busy but our waitress was amazing and made sure we had everything perfect. Management must be exceptional to achieve this good of food with how busy they were👍 Good job guys!!!!!

I had called ahead to for a party of 7 for 2pm and was told I needed to confirm my reservation time when my party was all there. Some of my party had gotten there before I was and the hostess up front had checked them in and said to wait since they were still waiting on tables to become available. I arrive with the rest of my party and no sooner as I get there the hostess Kylee came up and was extremely rude and told us that they had sent multiple messages and the last one we would’ve lost our reservation. Her body laundry and tone alone was condescending and rude. This is after she had checked use in and told us to wait. I booked a reservation that day for my birthday and was extremely disappointed. Our waitress was super friendly and sweet and came to check on us multiple times. I wouldn’t recommend calling ahead for a reservation unless you want to get met walking in the door with an attitude.
