I came a 30mins out from the suburbs to eat this. I’m not gonna lie food off the chain don’t get me wrong. But the way my service was today made me not wanna eat it no more.🤦🏾♂️ when we walked in she had an attitude form the jump then I asked for something I had plenty times before and she tells me we don’t sell that😒…..unfortunately due to her customer service I left the store without placing an order😞

This place is NOT… the best place to order food, fish was too salty, and it also wasn’t prepared properly, and the tips were OLD and TOUGH… all the food was TERRIBLE, I will NEVER 👎🏽 order food EVER AGAIN from this place. 🤮🤮

Wish I could give negative 1. Food is good or it used to be, but now it’s not worth the $20. I was told and I quote “we portion the food now” she said when last time you been here. I’m like today is the last day for sure. Drowned my meat in sauce to hide the fact it was old and dry. I had like 7 tips. Total disappointment in them.

Have been coming here since I moved to Maywood this past spring. Followed the smell that permeated everyday on 5th. Led here and first started with the Minitips. Decent portions and flavor on point. But I tried the Jerk chicken tips yesterday in BBQ sauce with hot sauce on the side and I now know the true source of the scent in the smoke every morning. A must try for locals and transients.

I must say I love this place……had to shake the chef’s hand because there is no food item that is disappointing. Everything is delicious and cooked fresh. Not to mention the friendly ladies who welcome you and take your order.

Amazing jerk chicken and rice !!! My go-to is the succulent buttery tasting cat fish, steak cut, not fried hard. They never disappoint. But on this day, I also tried the jerk chicken tips and dirty rice, WOW! my food budget has just increased ! A black owned establishment with excellent customer service is a rare gem. You can even dine in, I have, This place gives good vibes. A community based establishment is worth checking out. Oh!! and the greens and baked mac and cheese are home made delicious.

They have bad food I ordered over $300.00 worth of fish and chicken and the chicken was burnt and the fish was not cat fish we got sick my family and was very unhappy
