Have been coming here since I moved to Maywood this past spring. Followed the smell that permeated everyday on 5th. Led here and first started with the Minitips. Decent portions and flavor on point. But I tried the Jerk chicken tips yesterday in BBQ sauce with hot sauce on the side and I now know the true source of the scent in the smoke every morning. A must try for locals and transients.
I must say I love this place……had to shake the chef’s hand because there is no food item that is disappointing. Everything is delicious and cooked fresh. Not to mention the friendly ladies who welcome you and take your order.
Amazing jerk chicken and rice !!! My go-to is the succulent buttery tasting cat fish, steak cut, not fried hard. They never disappoint. But on this day, I also tried the jerk chicken tips and dirty rice, WOW! my food budget has just increased ! A black owned establishment with excellent customer service is a rare gem.
