Bernice, Jim, and their crew at 31 North made our wedding day amazing! The crew came to the reception venue the Friday before to set up the tables, the bar, etc. which was very helpful for us to see the dinner and cocktail hour areas all set up before the big day. On the big day, the staff was very attentive to us (the bride and groom) as well as all of the guests, ensuring timely passing of appetizers and fast serving of the dinner courses. Also, the dinner was nice and hot, showing that the final stages of cooking were completed at the reception venue just prior to serving. All of the staff were so kind. During the year leading up to the wedding, Bernice was very responsive via email, answering all of my questions and adjusting our proposal countless times with any additions or subtractions. She was also very accommodating when we wanted to add a few extra desserts, plate some of the dinner courses separately, etc. Overall, we’d highly recommend 31 North for any of your catering needs in the McHenry, Hebron, Woodstock areas of IL! Location / Atmosphere - Very roomy place with good seating. Very clean dinning room.Food / Beverage - Good menu of breakfast and lunch items. My wife had the eggs benedict on a potato pancake (Quinoa Benedict) which was a delightful alternative to the traditional 'English muffin'. I had the strawberry mascarpone crepes which was very creamy yet very light which was perfect for what I was looking for. I do recommend them both.Service - Very quick and friendly service. They had some problems with their credit card system the day we were there. As it turns out, weather that passed through the area caused them to have connectivity issues. By no means was this there fault yet they were very apologetic and explained how they were going to process our bill. Very friendly staff.In summary - We'll be back... Perhaps next time we'll stop in for lunch...
Breakfast Food is amazing but the uncomfortable seats cause us to eat here less. I would say they have the best vegetarian Benedict around ! Always had a good breakfast here and pricing is fair ( haven’t tried other meals). I understand this is a banquet hall , therefore seating needs to be moveable , but these chairs are small and my children tend to do better in booths.
