Oy I met the Patronos Mexican Restaurant, the visit was very unpleasant, the place was empty, I chose a table and they told me that it didn't have to be the one they gave me. I asked for a molcajete de viseg with shrimp and I don't recommend it, the preparation is the most unpleasant and very bad taste my rating is =0

This is a great little find in McHenry. The food was excellent and our server Maria was very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a wide variety of authentic dishes on the menu to choose from. I ordered the enchiladas with verde sauce while my friend had the enchiladas with mole sauce. We will be back to enjoy again!

5 stars for The Patroons Mexican Restaurant! From a distance, it looks like just some random hole in the wall restaurant in some mall shopping center. But once inside, you will realize the hidden gem of Mexican cuisine you found while visiting McHenry. The prices are all very reasonable, and the service was very friendly when I dined in. They give you complimentary chips and salsa to start with, and then I had the camarones chipotle and a La Diabla - both were delicious. The Diabla wasn't too hot but had a nice flavor/kick to it. Overall, I'd recommend a visit if you're in the area and want some great Mexican food.

Ordered through DoorDash for six people, so quite a bit of food. Food arrived quickly and nicely packaged. Everyone raved about how good everything was. Burritos, flautas, sopes were all phenomenal.Also got tamales but didn’t get to eat them yet because we are all so full, portions are huge! Definitely our new “go to” for Mexican cuisine!

Wow! So fresh and yummy! I'm impressed. Called in an order as I drove through town headed back to WI. Was ready quick and the food tasted amazing!Chips are homemade and not greasy. Salsa was green and perfectly spicy. Restaurant was clean and adorable on the inside.Hope to be back whenever I'm in the area! Nice job!
