Great presentation of the food. Ordered a lechon jibarito sandwich and fried appetizers. Meat was juicy and flavorful. Rice was tasty. I needed a bit more gandules to my liking, but that's just me. I am used to slightly larger sized sandwhiches but still felt well fed. Waiter always made sure our needs were met. The place was empty when we arrived but the atmosphere was nice. I noticed a separate private party room. Welcoming decor throughout. Fair pricing.

I ordered Parcha, it tasted formented, as I was paying Isabel asked why I didn’t like it because I told her I didn’t want it. I told her it tasted formented, she seemed surprised because she said we prepared the parcha last night left it out ready to prepare. Well that’s the answer right there if you leave something out not in fridge 41or below in the fridge it creates bacteria. She did asked if I wanted anything else to drink brought me water almost room temp did not add any ice. Also, my husband ordered 1/2 a pound of carne frita and they gave mostly all bones it was dry like it was out for 3 days not chewable. He asked for mayo ketchup and they gave him like medicine cup you use when you give kids liquid Tylenol. Not enough for that dry meat, I ordered a breakfast sandwich it was dry not a fan of the bread, it was also served with fries which I didn’t eat they just looked so greasy. So we packed the leftovers for the dogs they will enjoy the bones like a chew toy. When I went to pay with my debit card she said oh we don’t accept that only Apple Pay or Zelle. So I had to Zelle her for the food which my husband stated she charged taxes tip to her personal account and not going through the business name Cuisine De Jibarito, she didn’t even give me a receipt, I don’t recommend as we were eating a fly was flying around trying to land on our food and we had to continue swatting it away. Now my stomach is starting to hurt getting sick from this food we don’t recommend. For a breakfast sandwich/fries, a pincho, 1/2 lb of carne frita(more like bones), a Diet Coke over $33 The one thing we liked was the wooden plate shaped like the PR island looked cool.
Well this is Nanette’s husband the carne frita was like 5 days old Respond to that my dogs ate it though 🤷🏽♂️ At least someone liked it

I use to come here a lot and it was always good. I am not sure what happened this day. I ordered 2 alcapurias they were soggy and not fresh. I ordered a pincho w BBQ sauce and it did not have BBQ sauce on it. The tostones had no salt or flavor. And I ordered total like 8 frituras and The waitress gave me 1 hotsauce, when I asked for 2 more she gave me a crazy look like it bothered her and she only gave me 1 more after I asked for 2 more. When I got 2 my car and opened the food I realized there was no sauce on my pincho and the Alcapurias were soggy and not hot. But I was on lunch so didn't have time to go back in.
Everyone should give this place a try no matter what reviews say. Some people like to bash other. Everyone has there own opinion at the end of the day all of the food is fresh. Service is good orders are going to take a minute regardless every restaurant isn’t perfect everyone has a good and bad day. Don’t let any review define this restaurant give it a try YOURSELF.

The lady there needs more people skills . It was a nice small place n the presentation was great but the food was horrible. Fire who ever is making the food .you guys are giving our food a bad name . I won’t go not even for free . People that don’t know about what our really taste like will like it of course . Learn from jibarito y más in Chicago . The food there is great
