My daughter and I were on our way to a doctor's appointment and decided to get a Dunkin Donuts refresher drink for the ride. We went through the drive thru at 119th and Kedzie and ordered dragonfruit refreshers with green tea.
We had driven about a mile when my daughter said it looked like there was a plastic bag in her drink. I pulled over and she used her straw to pull a plastic bag out the bottom of her drink. She said she first noticed because we had trouble getting any drink through the straw.
How does a plastic bag get into a drink that is prepared after it is ordered? It is clear that whoever made the drink was paying zero attention. We have no idea where this bag was before it was in her drink.
Was it in the cup all along? Or was it scooped up with the ice? If the second is the case, then anyone who bought a drink with ice today had the potential to have their drink contaminated by this bag.
I had my daughter pour her drink out, after I took the photo, and I let her have mine. If she had declined my drink, that would have gotten dumped also. My drink seemed fine, although hers having a random plastic bag in it really turned me off.
We couldn't turn around and return to DD because we had an appointment to get to. I don't plan on going to DD later, as I would prefer answers over apologies or a refund. Unfortunately, I don't see how we would get an answer as to why this bag was in her drink or where it came from.
Suffice it to say, we won't be returning to DD any time soon. What a disgusting thing to encounter.

I have been going to this dunkin donuts since it opened and I have had no issues till recently. Not one day has my order been done correctly. I would get a dragonfruit refresher made with green tea and it would never come with the green tea. I would order glaze munkins (5ct) and they give me what they want instead. Today they got my order incorrect again. I asked for glazed munchkins got chocolate ask for my refresher made with green tea and it does not. Sad to say I will not be going to this location anymore! Please bring back the employees that cared and did their job right!

All the staff is nice and friendly. However Tiffany is the best she take pride in her customers when me and my husband come in she starts to get our order ready she knows what we like. She always has a smile on her face. He customer service is absolutely amazing that’s why we keep coming back.

They seem to close when they want to I’ve been turned away twice now prior to 8pm saying the register is already closed. I’ll just go to the dunkin that is open when they say they are open
