“Been going to Schubert's for years and have generally never had any complaints about their meats. Their chicken and beef are sourced locally or at or least within the Greater Saint Louis and southern Illinois regions. Prices are reasonable, although the beef shortage has caused those prices to be high, but that's more or less out of their control. I wouldn't say they're overcharging either. Service is excellent and you can call ahead for large or special orders. They will even gladly help you load your car if you have more then few bags if you ask politely! They accept EBT/SNAP which is a huge plus, as well as credit cards (They do charge a 4% fee however for debit and credit transactions.), along with cash or personal check which are preferred.“
