Fleckensteins is the best bakery in the Chicago area, and it isn’t even close. Whenever we’ve had donuts or cake from here for our events (wedding, baby shower, etc) everyone always raves about how amazing it is. The staff is kind, helpful, and patient with specific requests on special orders. We enjoy being loyal customers and appreciate all they’ve done for us!

Ordered a white cake with strawberry filling and chocolate buttercream. The cake and filling were just OK, the buttercream is awful, the worst ever tasted. No chocolate taste, with a granulated texture, like sand paper, and awfully sweet. I couldn't eat it. So there were $50 in the garbage, but now I know, will never recommend this place. No quality in their product, utterly overrated.

I was very excited to try this bakery and when I did let me tell you I was not disappointed the donut journey alone is worth a trip. This was my first experience with this bakery. It was a huge hit. I ordered a half sheet double layer half chocolate and vanilla with an oreo cream filling. When I say everyone raved about it I mean it. The first bite everyone took their eyes lit up and mmmmmmmmm they said. I think I've found my new bakery. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

What happened to the size of the chocolate doughnuts? They are half the size. You are using smaller square boxes instead of the rectangle box and a dozen doesn’t even fill the smaller box. Fleckenstein, Orland Bakery is moving in up the street inTinley in November. I will now be going there to buy my doughnuts. I do not want child size. Ray, replying to your response. We have been purchasing a dozen doughnuts from Flecksenstein’s in a rectangle box for years. They fit secure and didn’t shuffle around. This time I got a dozen and this time they were in a square box and 3/4 of the box was filled and the doughnuts shuffled around. I asked everyone when I got home am I dreaming or are these doughnuts smaller and everyone agreed they were smaller. So not sure what to believe. I trust mine and my family and friend ‘s opinions.
