What a joke ! Unfortunately, we're not really fans of Mexican food in our area. I grew up going to LA Cafe as a teen with my family many years ago, my husband has never had it. He recently tried it at work and loved it although he's heard some bad things about customer service. It's NYE and we wanted some burritos during the Bears Game. Spent nearly $60 for our food and drinks which items terrible for portion size. Burritos were good, but my husbands la cafe combo was missing a Flauta. He called just to tell them, so they would know but also maybe it could be credited for next time. All he got was an excuse that he should have looked on Facebook at their menu. He told the woman on the phone that he simply went by their menu online which stated the combo has a flauta. She kept saying, " Nope. You should have gone to the Facebook menu ". No remorse, no apology, no refund etc. He didn't argue but stressed that was unacceptable, asked to speak to a manager and was told there wasn't one there. When he asked what time the manager was in , she told him " Here ". And passed the phone along to a man who states he's the manager and one of the owners. Again, no apology, explanation or offer to make it right. All he could tell my husband is that he should have gone to Facebook. My husband explained he doesn't have Facebook, wouldn't have known to go there nor should he be expected to. Manager told him " you're out ! It's on Facebook ". My husband told him he lost a customer. He didn't seem to care. This is extremely poor customer service and unacceptable. Something so small could have easily be rectified if just acknowledged, instead were told it's our fault. And I know now from these reviews we shouldn't have wasted our time or money going there.

Food and service were excellent! It's nicely decorated for Christmas and the hostess took the time to talk to us and point out some of the unusual Christmas tree decorations. The salsa is the best that I've had in a very long time.

Come on LA Cafe !!! Charging for chips and salsa when you dine in ??? Your prices already went up after covid . What I use to get for $14.99 is now almost $25 !!! I will not be back!

For a place that has been in business as long as they have , they should know how to make a cheese enchilada. Enchilada sauce with limited cheese. Might as have asked for enchilada sauce tortilla. Sincerely disappointed & the owner’s wife never even offered to take it off the bill. Needless to say, disappointed!
