Beautifully Imperfect
I’ve been to this location a total of 4 times in the past 4 months. The last two times made me pause. I’m not sure if it’s my race or if the people simply don’t honor customer service anymore. But this last time annoyed me a tad bit. I was the next person in line, the lady in front of me had been called by the other cashier but the she turned to aid her coworker and told the customer to hold on. So the cashier directly in front of me looks at me then looks at the other lady and asks who is next. Well clearly me as you saw your fellow coworker call her over there then momentarily attended to your other coworker while asking her to give her a moment. She was going to allow the other lady to walk in front of me before I interjected and said well I was next. So I proceed and say good morning my name is and I placed a pick up order online. She looks it up and then says ok it will be up in a minute, her coworker that came from the back while she was tending to me went back to get the order. Here is where the issue came in, her coworker who was standing there when I said my name and went to get my order came back with the order and instead of handing it to me in my stretched out hands she slid it across the counter then slid the receipt on the counter and walked away. That was rude. The time before that I ordered 3 Bundt cakes for birthdays and asked for the 3 flags to be there as I was giving them to other individuals for their birthdays. So when she brought me the order (it was a pick up order) she says “well I see online you asked for the 3 birthday flags, do you really need all 3 flags” and was proceeding to remove them before I could get my statement out of well they are for 3 different people birthdays. I just got my order without the flags and left, but still gave a thank you. I always feel as if there’s an issue when other races frequent the establishment vs people of color. I have never had an issue at the Orland Park location but this one is a few doors down from Rush PT where I go twice a week.

Very charming shop and very pleasant employees. We have been getting our cakes from here 2yrs and be it in store purchase or online order pick up the experience has always been good. Thank you especially to Grace and her co-worker (sorry wasn’t able to catch your name). It was nice talking to you and thanks to the both of you for packing up the cake and offering to help us take it out to the car since we had our hands full with the baby.
Cakes are great but the guy who works there clearly hates his job, refuses to help when you have an issue with your pre-order. Basically told me tough luck, come back soon. Wow, never coming back

Bad customer service 2 workers on October 17th, 2024 around 5pm. As we stood there figuring out what we wanted. The 2 young girls thought something was so funny, as they whispered to each other. My friend asked her, “were you all laughing at us?” She said, “ no the customer before you guys.” I definitely didn’t see anyone leave out before us. I won’t return to this location.
