Pepper Mill, a local Mokena restaurant, offers reasonably priced food with great soups, sandwiches, and dinners. Their fried chicken remains a favorite among customers. The menu has been updated to include fresh, delicious dishes with generous portions, and daily specials are also available. The restaurant serves excellent fish dinners like salmon and cod, along with their regular menu items. Customers praise the friendly and attentive staff, noting that the service is consistently good. The atmosphere is welcoming, with many regulars knowing the staff, who are super nice and friendly. The food is made to perfection, especially the chicken soup, stuffed avocado, and stuffed tomato. The French dip is highly recommended. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment. The Turkey dinner, which comes with a soup, salad, and sides, is flavorful, with lightly seasoned stuffing and thinly sliced fresh Turkey breast that is not dry. Customers also enjoy the coffee, especially the house blend with hazelnut, and the biscuits and gravy with eggs, which are served in generous portions without being too greasy. The steamed broccoli is fresh and well-cooked. Many appreciate that eggs can be ordered in unusual ways, and the staff gets it right. Overall, the food is tasty, reasonably priced, and the friendly service makes it a place worth returning to. Customers have never had a bad meal there and often try different dishes, always leaving satisfied.
