Bought the wienerschnitzel it was very good! My date had the Mac and cheese, she said it was tasty. Enjoyed our evening listening to the polka band! I would say that the patio seems to be the place to sit on a normal summer evening.

Very cool old building with a lot of history. Beautiful outdoor patio/dining overlooking Fox River. The pretzel bites were good. My dinner companions all enjoyed their meals - they stuck with burgers/sandwiches. I ordered the weinerschnitzel. They have a placard advertising Schnitzel Sundays so I was expecting some amazing schnitzel. NOPE! It was disgusting. The mystery meat was drowned in a BBQ sauce with canned mushrooms and barely visable spatzel and burnt bits of who knows what. I don't think the cook/chef knows what schnitzel is. Once again disgusting and so very disappointing. It got loud as it was trivia night and we could no longer hear our conversations . Our server Ethan was awesome, funny and attentive. Another staff member gave us an impromptu tour of the facility. It's a far drive for me and my meal was so lackluster that I won't be back.
Great German sausage platter. The liter beers are outrageous. The deck along the river is very relaxing

Great, fun place..everyone friendly and food great
Excellent fish and chips and cottage pie 🥧 Great atmosphere in a historic building
Always enjoy coming here.
Love this place, awesome german beer and food. Beautiful view on the river. Thus place rocks!!!
Intimate Irish bar with crazy good German food options. They aren’t shy with the pour for mixed drinks, and the prices are reasonable.
They had live music the night we were there, and it was really above average and quite enjoyable. Absolutely will return to explore more of the drinks and menu. Dinner and drinks ran about 44 dollars per person, but we chose from some of the more expensive items.
Kid-friendliness: Two families were there with young children eating dinner. The remaining patrons tended to be a bit older, 40+.

Waitresses reach across table to sever others or just set everything at one end. Don't order chicken tenders they should be called chicken tuff, thin and cold. Fries not fresh and cold
Parking: Super small parking lot
Kid-friendliness: Not at all. Crowed tiny place for in door seating

The fried fish meal was definitely worth the price, it tasted great. On the other hand, we felt like the cottage pie was good but not justifiable on the price. The pretzel was decent as well.
