I had some jewelry that I was looking to unload because it's just been sitting in my case at home and no longer has any sentimental value. I was advised that my best course of action for the Platinum & diamonds/sapphires, rubies should be to seek out someone who specializes in fine jewelry & gems, as he deals in gold melt value, which I sort of figured going in, but I was planning on going to Colima Jewelers in Aurora, but it appears they've been out of business for quite some time judging from the fact that they were closed and there was no merchandise in any of the cases nor was there anything in the display window at Colima.
Anyway, I wasn't that far from the place, so after Colima failed me, I drove the five minutes or so to this shop and sold a bracelet for cash on the spot.
I figured I'd sell it even if it wasn't that much cash, because I'd driven out to downtown Aurora already and felt like going home having accomplished nothing would've just been a waste of gas, and Kane County Property taxes are SOARING this year sadly.
I'm confident he paid me a fair price, and he was much more amicable than people I've dealt with at places like pawn shops in the past.
