Sunday before 2pm is a good time to meet with friends if you want a low noise level. Wished the server told us about the Sunday drink specials- a great surprise when paying the bill $5 Bloody Mary! Very good! Would have had another. Fried calamari and shrimp was delicious- lightly breaded and the fettuccine with broccoli and chicken was great. After 2pm it gets noisy with large groups.
I am a regular at Morrett's. I find your host or hostess to be less than warm and friendly. They are doing their job - period. My groups are not warmly greeted - as we are a bother. And never a good bye come again. However my various groups enjoy the food, location and parking. My group today was ten. Morrettis does not allow reservations on open table for over six. A real inconvenience. I then have to phone Morettis and wait to speak to a manager.
Overall a very enjoyable experience with HUGE portions sizes! I should have had a lighter lunch, but at least I had some leftovers for the next night. I'm from the Southside where the best tavern style pizza is at (Archer Ave). Since living in the Northside I've had some OK pizza, but Moretti's pizza is as good as any joint on the Southside.
