Kroger Deli

The Morton Kroger has been updated and is the cleanest and best stocked Kroger store in the Tazewell County area. They seem to generally have plenty of cashiers available and a fresh inviting produce section. There is a Starbucks right inside the store entrance. No deals there just the convenience of one stop shopping. Kroger is often sold out of sale items early, necessitating a return trip to obtain the sale item. This week I went to Krogers three days in a row to purchase a digital coupon item. Each day the shelf was empty. The third day was the final day of the sale. When I inquired if the item would be restocked later in the day, I was told the truck would come in at midnight after the sale ended. And they give no rain checks on digital coupon items. This was probably the most disappointing Kroger I've ever been to. Obviously they cannot get enough people to work here, which is usually a sign of poor management. Or poor pay. Or a complete lack of organization. Or all the above. BUT BUT BUT, a woman in the fresh, ready to serve section near the deli actually stepped up and went out of her way to cut a piece of pecorino ramano cheese from a huge wheel for me because that was my whole reason for being there today.
