Stopped here for breakfast while out on a two-day concert gig. Such a lovely little place with that small town vibe, I knew the food would be great! Got eggs, sausage and pancakes and it was all delicious. I'm from over 2 hours away, East, so this was such a nice little spot!

Rita cooks every meal. She epitomizes home cooking. I truly love this place and I truly love Rita. Her smile is as loving as the food she cooks. Wednesday Alfredo or Thursday stir fry yes please. Egg Sammy on rye, twist my arm! Her French fries and onion rings!!! I moved to this delightful tiny town in 2017 and have enjoyed this café since. She makes me my omelet with everything, shoves my hashbrowns on the inside for me, smothers it with sausage gravy and with rye toast. Delicious!! And served by one of the best waitresses in the Midwest Brandy! Brandy knows her customers and she takes care of them as do all the staff there. Clean, well lit, good coffee, consistently delicious home cooked food and GLADLY HORRIBLE cell signal so you can actually visit with your dining partner rather than staring at your phone. Enjoy!!

Gotta love our hometown cafe! A classic small-town eating experience in the heart of historic downtown Mount Carroll. Great food, homemade desserts and other specialties. Large "community" table Is a favorite spot for those wanting to eat and chat with friends and neighbors. Prices are appropriate, and the service is fast and friendly. Overall an excellent experience and a place you'll want to come back to over and over.

Me and the family order a few times a month here and have yet to be dissatisfied.Decent selection of entrees and their sandwiches,wraps, and burgers are delicious. The fries are amazing, as well as the pickles. Friendly waitstaff and kitchen crew that always deliver the goods (extra sauces or anything have always been given).The chicken strips and J sauce are as good or better than any I've had in the area.They close up early (7pm) and offer pickup and dine in. They place is immaculately clean and inviting.5 ⭐️
