“Love this place! Prices are more than reasonable and I've never been disappointed with the food there. Sundays are 8 dollar burgers and they come with fries. So yummy! The staff is friendly, too.”
“Local bar with some pretty good food. I'm a Chicago transplant and the problem I was having was getting a good pizza. The gas station stuff wasn't doing it for me and a mexican pizza joint? Well, enter Charlies II. Wow was I pleasantly surprised! Thin crust and well done with top notch ingrediants, this pizza really scratches my itch for something I'm more accustomed to! Only thing I would suggest is adding fennel to the sausage and or the sauce. Then it would be perfect!Oh, and they serve a variety of sammiches too! Burgers, Patty Melts, grilled chicken. Fries and onion rings are al a carte but valuewise you can do a lot worse!Staff has always been warm, cute and friendly!A++ I order at least 1-2 times a month”
“Great place for sub sandwiches. Service is always pretty quick. Several different bread, meat, and topping choices to build your own type of sandwich. You can choose different sizes of bread too and make it either single sized or family sized.”
“The local DQ in town. They always got what I'm looking for. The food is mostly prepped to order, so there is a little bit of a wait time. A little skimpy on the fries and onion rings. Never a bad experience.Kid-friendliness: Kids love DQ!”
“You can always count on a good meal, a relaxing night and sometimes some pretty decent live music. I feel like I’ve stepped into another era when I walk in The Slurp n’ Burp…almost like the good old days before smart ”
“Stopped in on a Friday for lunch. Cute little place. No one there other than us. Decent menu with several options. Got the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Both were good. Would probably try something different next time. I hear their pizza is really good.”
“We went to the restaurant at the motel. The food was good. They only had bar chairs at all the tables. My son had a one pound cheese ?.Food & drinks: Stopped in for a bite to eat. Food was good. Our son are a 1 pound hamburger ?. Said it was good. Wish they had regular seating. Not a fan of bar stools.”
“Classic roadside stand in Thomson for ice cream and fast food. It was on a drive along the Mississippi River that we came across it, which is one of the few places to eat in town. Bear's Drive-Inn caught our attention with the big bear on the side of the building. Pretty basic drinks and food as expected. The prices are pretty good for the area it seems. About the only people who come here are the locals and those who happen across it whole coming through going to somewhere else. It was warm and we thought to stop here. This is like the local version of Dairy Queen it seems. Got some cold treats including the Frazil. It's about $1.50 for the small one. This is basically a slushie. As for the hot food, it's basic. It's about $3 for a pretzel. This may be the healthiest food really. Other items are burgers and hot dogs. These looked pretty greasy from what we could see. Of course don't expect healthy. This is one of the few places to eat for miles. Has okay stuff but it's a classic. It's pretty easy to spot with the big bear on it. They're cash only, which is another bad thing.”
“Stopped here on the way back to Wisconsin! Absolutely amazing! The portions are incredible and the flavor can't be beat! The service is just as amazing! We will be making this a definite day run for a meal! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! 5”
“Great place with great food at great prices. Me and the family order a few times a month here and have yet to be dissatisfied.Decent selection of entrees and their sandwiches, wraps, and burgers are delicious. The fries are amazing, as well as the pickles. Friendly waitstaff and kitchen crew that always deliver the goods (extra sauces or anything have always been given). The chicken strips and J sauce are as good or better than any I've had in the area. They close up early (7pm) and offer pickup and dine in. They place is immaculately clean and inviting.5 ⭐️”
