Love this ice cream shop. Staff is always super nice portions are very good I feel for the prices and the ice cream is so good. They definitely need to think about a bigger location with how popular they are. But definitely give them a try if you want really good ice cream and shakes!

Ordered a cake here. They did get the decorations wrong but the lady at the front immediately apologized and was able to add different decorations to meet my requirements

Had 100 scoops delivered to my daughters wedding to surprise my new son-in-law. He loves ice cream. The ice cream was DELICIOUS and everyone loved it. They even customized the lids of the ice cream scoops with a picture of the happy couple. Definitely be ordering from them again.

Such a cool place to get ice cream … outside area was lovely to enjoy your homemade ice cream … want to bring my grandkids here for sure!

Capannari Ice Cream at 10 South Pine Street in northwest suburban Mount Prospect, off Route 14 or Northwest Highway, west of Main Street, has earned such accolades as "Best ice cream shop in Chicago" and "one of the top 10 ice cream shops in America" and "Chicago's best old-fashioned ice cream shop" and "Chicago's best gourmet ice cream." They must be doing something right. Open fro noon to 10 daily, it offers scoops, sundaes, banana splits, ice cream sodas, root beer floats, milk shakes, smoothies, ice cream sandwiches, chocolate covered bananas with nuts, cones and cups. To accommodate more customers, they have introduced a walk-up window. Ice cream flavors include black raspberry chip, Capannari's best seller, butter pecan, chocolate, vanilla, cake batter, strawberry, rocky road, mint chocolate chip, praline pecan, chocolate chip, coconut chip, cookies and cream, cookie dough, java chip, vegan black raspberry, vanilla yogurt and double chocolate peanut butter cup. The hardest thing to do is decide what you want and which flavor. My wife and I usually try to sample as much as we can--a chocolate soda or root beer float, a strawberry/banana smoothie and dishes of black raspberry chip and praline pecan ice cream--then order three or four pints of ice cream to take home. Which flavors? Usually black raspberry chip, butter pecan, cookies and cream and chocolate chip. Capannari Ice Cream truly lives up to its billing.
