Always had a great experience at this bakery. Have been a customer there for over 50 years. Bought their decorated cakes for every special occasion.but this time very disappointed. I asked the clerk for 4 chocolate covered bismarks. I always buy them to share with friends. But this time they were filled with chocolate frosting, not custard, like they always have been. Very disappointed. They were very sweet and no one ate more then a few bites. Clerk never mentioned anything about...
Since we moved to Mount Prospect in 2022, I have been getting birthday cakes here. My mother also likes to stop here to buy doughnuts or cookies from time to time. Everything we have had has been amazing! They even have a really good flourless cake for the kids with allergies (my nephew has a severe wheat allergy). Sure, I could get a cheaper cake somewhere else, but you get what you pay for here with a high quality product and great service.
On a beautiful Sunday in June of 2025, Bobby made the cake for our wedding. The design was exactly what I was looking to coordinate with our theme. I had gotten butterflies from Esty.
Our guests were surprised by how delicious the cake tasted. We had white cake with strawberry Bavarian cream filling on two layers and fudge on one layer.
It is nice to have one less thing to worry about after selecting Central Continental Bakery.
