Showed up here at 11am on a Sunday to get donuts for the family. They only had a couple of options and asked if we could come back in a few hours. They would have more then.

Stupidly we went with what they had on hand instead of realizing it was all old. Donuts were clearly multiple days old already and they sold them anyways. If you don't have fresh donuts at 11am on a Sunday, then you never will. First and last time I'll visit.

Joe Donut Mt Prospect has awesome daily fresh baked donuts and hand made to order breakfast and lunches. Since their donuts are made fresh daily, when they run out they are out. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t get a great breakfast or lunch. So come in early and you will be treated like family.

We came to the cafe, which is open until 3 pm, at 1 pm to eat donut. But they said there were no donuts. I was shocked when they said we could only have coffee. It's very normal if the name of the business is Joe Coffe, but I'm disappointed that it doesn't have its main products in a place with two more hours to close. Be careful when you come, you may just have to drink coffee.

I called with an extremely last-minute request for 4 dozen personalized donuts for an event, and I was blown away by the experience. The staff and management were incredibly respectful, helpful, and accommodating from start to finish. They handled my request with such professionalism and care, making what could have been a stressful situation feel effortless. The donuts looked amazing, tasted even better, and were a huge hit at the event. I’m so grateful for their exceptional service and highly recommend Joe’s to anyone looking for quality treats and outstanding customer care.

I used to really like this restaurant but had an absolutely ridiculous experience and got such a run around. I won’t be returning. I placed an online order only to arrive to find the place closed and deserted. Despite the business hours sign on the door saying they should be open. Called the next day to ensure they didn’t process my order and they couldn’t do anything because they needed a manager (who seems to never be around/available). Called the next day and they told me Toast (who I ordered through) should be refunding since they updated their hours. A week goes by, the payment posts and I have no refund. I have to call again and am told the owner instructed them to tell customers to call toast to get a refund (which is ABSURD because it is the restaurants fault, not mine why do I have to keep calling and asking to get my money back). I called Toast who says they can’t process a refund without the restaurant confirming. Toast is kind enough to call while I’m on the line to get it done and they kept getting an automated message when they called (seems really suspicious that the restaurant blocked toast?) because when I called and merged the calls it went through no problem. Such a ridiculous circus that should have been the restaurant reaching out when they saw orders came in after they closed. Terrible business practice to make your customers seek out a refund when you couldn’t even update your proper business hours.

Had a terrible experience here. Came at opening to get donuts before work. There were only a few available, and the ones there were mostly smashed or covered by frosting from other donuts. I need it for a work event, so I had to get them, and those donuts I got turned out to all be stale. I had to pay full price for stale donuts, and I didn't even get any specialty donuts (smashed). I would avoid this place at ALL costs.

Used to be the best until new owners came in
They refuse to change the name and buy jewel donuts and claim they are theirs. Awful owner as well.

My family has owned a “family’s restaurant” for over 20 years. This was solid real food tastes like, eggs and quality ingredients. Also they know how to properly wrap a burrito, so it doesn’t fall apart. I’ll definitely be back to try more! We all need to support small businesses like this!

I have a $25 gift card that they will not redeem. Everything on my end says I should be able to use my $25 gift card but the girl at the register told me no. Taking my business elsewhere. Maybe because they tried to change their name? Now I can't use my $25? Lame
